Ax to Swing at Tribune's Dallas/Houston Stations

Technology seems to be taking over some more jobs at the Tribune stations in Dallas and Houston.

Mike McGuff reports that KIAH 39 Houston and KDAF 33 Dallas-Fort Worth are laying off their master control staffs.

Word is that Tribune will be outsourcing its master control duties to a hub out of Denver.

The transition will begin in next month.
