Move over Rob Morrison and make room for Bill Evans.

WABC Morning Weatherman Bill Evans and his wife Dana Evans have both been charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

Word is the charges come from argument the couple had back in early May.

Dana Evans talked about the incident during a counseling session. It was then suggested to her that she report the incident to police.

She did and after looking into the matter, charges were filed.

The couple are both expected to appear in Stamford, Connecticut court tomorrow.

“Connecticut law requires that the Police refer all reports of domestic arguments, no matter how minor, to the Superior Court, and the Greenwich Police actions Thursday were required by law,” read a statement issued by Mr. Evans’ lawyer. “We expect that Bill will be exonerated and this case will be quickly forgotten.”

Mrs. Evans’ lawyer explained, “Obviously divorces can get emotional and we expect Dana to be cleared of these charges in due time. The safety, privacy and welfare of her family continue to be her primary concern.”

Bill Evans has been with WABC for 23 years. Needless to say, the station is not talking.

Imagine that.
