Off the Late Newscast

Longtime WBAY (Green Bay) Anchor Bill Jartz has been missing from the station's 10 p.m. newscast.

Word is that Jartz underwent surgery on a torn quad muscle following an accident.

Doctors orders are not letting he drive as he recovers and the station is doing him a solid by not making him work the late newscast.

He can still be seen on the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts. Jartz has been an anchor in the 10 p.m. slot since 1998.

Across the street at WFRV, the station has hired retired WLUK, Channel 11, meteorologist John Chandik as a temporary weekend replacement until they find a permanent one for longtime meteorologist Tom Mahoney, who retired last month.

Not you're caught up on the anchor changes in Green Bay.

Do you feel better?
