Despite Tiger Woods not really being in the mix, the early ratings show that the Masters was a ratings winner.

The tournament went into a playoff and took the broadcast well past the 7PM scheduled end time.  Viewers didn't seem to mind as they stuck around to watch the playoff between Adam Scott and Angel Cabrera.

Although there is no breakdown yet, judging by Twitter traffic it is likely that Scott (the first Australian to win the Masters) help boost the ratings with the female viewers.

Tweets like this one from an LPGA Pro were common while Scott was involved in the playoff:

Scott was clearly the favorite among the ladies watching.

I'm sure the same thing would have happened, if I was playing in the Masters.

It's tough for us Scott's...we're always fighting off the women. It's a burden we deal with.
