Comings and Goings in Milwaukee

A Milwaukee Anchor is out and a replacement has already been named (so forget sending your resume).

Tomazic, a Cleveland native who joined the station in 2009, was morning co-anchor with Tom Durian.

She is being replaced by...

Jessica Tighe, who grew up in Elm Grove.

Tighe was featured in an ad for the morning show during the Super Bowl. She will co-anchor with Durian weekdays from 5:00-7:00 a.m. and at noon.

Tighe previously spent six years as an anchor at KWQC-TV in the Quad Cities, where she reported on the historic floods and the Iowa Caucuses.

The Milwaukee Journal says that Jennifer Tomazic, the WDJT-TV morning co-anchor, has left the station. Her husband who is relocating for a job, according to the station. Her last broadcast was Friday

She also spent two years anchoring in La Crosse.

Tighe is a graduate of Indiana University.

According to her station bio, Tighe "loves trying new restaurants. She's a big foodie! She's also a mom to a young Cocker Spaniel with a lot of energy." She is also on Twitter at @jessicatighe.

Tighe's Facebook page included a photo of her holding a farewell cake presented to her by her KWQC colleagues. No word if the departing Tomazic received any baked goods.
