Today I’m announcing a new member of the CBS4 Morning News team. BRITT MORENO joins us next month as co-anchor of our weekday morning and noon newscasts.

Britt is currently an anchor and reporter at KSAZ-TV, the Fox station in Phoenix. A couple years ago, Britt won an Emmy Award for a compelling series about “Border Crossers.” She followed border agents as they attempted to track down smugglers transporting drugs, weapons and people – even interviewing some of the captured smugglers in Spanish as they were processed by agents.

Prior to Phoenix, Britt was a reporter at KRGV-TV, an ABC station in south Texas. Britt is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, where she received degrees in Communications and Spanish.

Britt’s first day at CBS4 will be March 18th. She’ll begin anchoring the CBS4 Morning News in early April.
