Cincy Station has Names New News Director

WXIX in Cincinnati has been witout a News Director since last year. In March that are finally going to get a new news boss.

​The station announced that Kevin Roach will be the new ND starting March 4.

Roach is no stranger to the Ohio, he was at WCPO as assistant news director 2002-05, and did two stints as news director at Dayton’s WDTN-TV.

Roach most recently was Associated Press vice president and U.S. broadcast  news director.

“The depth of knowledge and experience Kevin has in both broadcast and digital news will be a huge asset to our station,” said Bill Lanesey, general manager, in the announcement today.

He replaces Matt Miller, who left the station Dec. 28.
