/For many journalists, it remains the defining story of their careers—the moment the world ground to a halt and every camera, screen, and anxious thought locked onto the Twin Towers.
On September 11, 2001, lives and the fabric of daily existence were altered forever. Yet, walking into modern TV newsrooms, it’s jarring to realize there are now journalists working the desks and producing the feeds who have little to no personal recollection of that Tuesday morning.
For those of us who do remember, the collective trauma fundamentally changed how we view our safety, our country, and our profession. As cliché as it sounds, we truly will never forget.
