Gray Offers Up Fewer Options for Viewers and Employees
/Gray took to social media to try and tell people that consolidating two news departments into one, is great news.
It is not.
This is what Gray posted on social media:
KFVS and WSIL will merge under the brand Heartland News.
This merger will focus on being the region’s most trusted source for news, weather and sports. Viewers will get forecasts from the First Alert Weather team and the latest scores and highlights from Heartland Sports.
As part of the transition, KFVS12.com and WSILTV.com will redirect to HeartlandNews.com, creating one main destination for regional coverage. Streaming channels and the news app will transition to Heartland News and viewers can find First Alert Weather forecast under KFVS First Alert Weather app and WSIL First Alert Weather app.
Social media channels, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and more, will shift from KFVS and WSIL to Heartland News. Viewers may notice changes as updates roll out, and we appreciate their patience during the transition.
Heartland News remains committed to serving the region and delivering the best, most reliable information for our communities.
If it smells like bullshit, it’s bullshit.
