Last week, FTVLive told you that a former WFLA (Tampa) reporter is running for City Council in Tampa.

We pointed out that former reporter Jeff Patterson’s political website needed some work. First, you had to scroll to the bottom of the website to figure out what his last name was.

He also included a picture of him with an Emmy. We weren’t sure why that should make voters elect him?

Well, after we posted our story, Jeff Patterson emailed FTVLive and instead of whining and moaning, like many people do, Patterson took our critique to heart and made some changes to his site, which included ditching the Emmy photo.

Here is his email:

Kudos to him for making some changes on his site, and I think it looks much better.

As for donating to his campaign, that isn’t going to happen. FTVLive has never made a political contribution, and as a registered independent, we will stick to that plan.

We do give Jeff (we feel like we can call him Jeff now) props for listening to some constructive criticism and not letting his ego get in the way.

Just like all politicians, we will not give Jeff our endorsement, but we will wish him well in his venture.
