Nexstar’s WHNT (Huntsville) took a lightning strike and the power surge knocked the station off the air.

anchor Giselle Hood took to social media to tell viewers that the newscast would still be available and streaming on the station’s website.

She did ask viewers who were emailing or calling the newsroom to “Please be kind.”
