Sleeping in DC

Around 9:00 Sunday evening, NWS issued a Tornado Warning for Prince George’s County, Maryland - a suburban county that borders DC. This is not some rural community on the fringes of the market area.

Of the big four stations, Tegna’s WUSA was on the air right away and Sinclair’s WJLA had a crawl and finally cut in around 9:10.

NBC’s WRC only ran a crawl during Sunday Night Baseball and The Firm’s WTTG sent out a push alert but never had anything on air, not even a crawl.
