When You Screw Up the First Story, You Follow it Up with a Second One

Fox-owned WFLD (Chicago) did a story about a man who says that he woke up to what  he believed was a rat attacking his face while he slept.

Have you ever heard of a rat eating someone’s face while they slept?

We haven’t either, and it appears that this wasn’t the case here.

You would have thought that The Firm’s station would have vetted the story a bit more before airing it, but they aired it anyway.

Well, it turns out, a doctor was watching the newscast and she determined it was not a rat, but shingles that caused the man’s pain.

The doctor offered to treat the patient at no cost and of course, WFLD did another story on it.

They never really came out and said that they were wrong on the first story. But, they did crow that the first story got millions of views on TikTok. And, let’s be honest, that’s all that really matters.
