Remember when Walter Cronkite and Diane Sawyer would post about their dating life?

Yeah, me neither.

Of course, someone will email me to say that it is a different time and journalism has changed.

I then ask, if this is the “new” way to be a journalist, and this is how journalists connect with the viewer, is it working? Trust in the local news has never been lower and the ratings are continuing to shrink.

Maybe, you should ask yourself, what would happen if we went back to the old way of being real journalists and not some influencer hybrid.
