Leaving the Business

Not even a year ago, WFTX (Ft. Myers) Reporter Kaitlin Knapp was excited to take on the “Executive Reporter” job at the station.

Not even a year later, Knapp is not just leaving the station, but she’s also leaving the business altogether.

She posted that at the end of this week, she is headed to the cop-shop and putting TV news in the rearview mirror.

The problem is for many in TV news, the job isn’t sustainable anymore. News corporations aren’t making an attempt to improve things and Journalists are leaving the business and only leaving the “I want to be on TV” people behind.
