Gray Backs Off on Streaming

It wasn’t that long ago when media companies appeared like they were all in when it came to streaming.

Media groups were crowing about “digital first” and how streaming would be the future of the company.

Gray Media was certainly one of those companies that seemed to be pushing all their chips into streaming.

Well, starting today, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Gray Media is restructuring its corporate streaming channel “Local News Live” by getting rid of their weekday morning and evening newscasts, as well as weekend newscasts.

“Gray Media has been all in on streaming, so this is a bit shocking,” said one Gray employee to FTVLive.
