CNN: Iran Claims Victory

CNN reported a statement from Iran's Supreme National Security Council claiming the 2-week ceasefire as a "victory" for Iran, asserting the US agreed to all 10 points of Iran's proposal.

Donald Trump called it a fraud and posted Iran's official statement instead, which frames the deal as a mutual pause for negotiations on a longer-term agreement.

CNN defended it as sourced from known Iranian officials and state media.

Trump’s FCC puppet Brandan Carr decided to weigh in, because, well…

While I am certainly not a CNN fan and have taken them to task too many times to count, I have seen others outside Iran claiming that the proposed cease-fire was a win for Iran.

Just one example is the Strait of Hormuz. Before the war, American oil ships passed through the strait free of charge; now they will have to pay millions of dollars to do so.

Also, Trump has lifted sanctions on Iran and is the first President in recent memory to have no sanctions on the country.

Is that a victory for Iran? I’ll let you decide, but things are certainly not better since before the war.
