Even a passive baseball fan knows who Don Mattingly is. Hell, the guys nickname is “Donnie Baseball.”

Mattingly is 6-time All-Star, won 9 Gold Gloves, and was the 1985 American League MVP. In 1987, he famously tied a major league record by hitting home runs in eight consecutive games.

The most interesting thing that the station could have teased, instead of asking who is Don Mattingly is the fact that he is in a very unique situation in Philadelphia right now. His son, Preston Mattingly, is the General Manager of the Phillies, making them a rare father-son duo running the dugout and the front office simultaneously.
