Merging Newsrooms is Confusing Viewers

Scripps Company, owner of Lexington's NBC affiliate WLEX-18, has agreed to purchase the ABC affiliate, WTVQ-36, from Morris Network for $15.8 million. The deal was announced last month and is expected to close in late 2026.

But, it appears that the stations aren’t waiting around to form the duopoly, and it is confusing viewers.
