No Respect

Gray’s WTVM in Columbus, Ga posted this asking for viewers to help identify the suspect.

Many commenters pointed out that it is hard to identify a person if you can’t see their face. There were a number of jokes that the suspect was a ninja or from the video game Mortal Kombat.

The station did not comment on any of those posts, but when one woman commented, saying it looked like AI, WTVM thought it was okay to refer to the woman as a “girl.”

Needless to say, the viewer wasn’t happy, and the Gray station did not issue any apology.

Stations need to understand that the viewers are your customers, and you should treat them with respect. I guess Gray has not passed along that advice.
