The Nexstar Copyright is Gone

When Nexstar closed on the Tegna deal,Nexstar Media Group is rapidly implementing its corporate copyright slate at the end of newscasts across former Tegna stations. The tag, which reads "Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media Inc.", features the word "Local" before the logo, standardizing the closing sequence across their massively expanded footprint.

But, yesterday, that all changed.

As a judge has put a temporary restraining order on the Nexstar/Tegna deal, the Tegna stations have been told to ditch the Nexstar animation and copyright at the end of their newscasts.

Now, it is just a generic station copyright in place of the Nexstar one.
