Back to My Photog Days
/I started out in TV news as a photographer, and I still believe that is the best job I ever had in TV news.
I often tell people that “if my back could take it and the pay was better, I would likely have stayed a photographer my entire career in TV.”
Well, you no longer need to haul around over a hundred pounds of gear, and although the pay still isn’t great, it’s much better than the $15,000 a year I was making when I started out.
So, when I got this email over the weekend:
I was thinking maybe I could end my run in TV news, just as it started. Running and gunning the spot news and slinging a camera once again at the Graham station in Jacksonville.
But, then it hit me, I would be working for the same company as Sean McLaughlin.
Yeah, I think I just keep doing what I’m doing.
