Is She New?

Viewers tuning into the news on WRCB (Chattanooga) on Saturday night may have thought the station hired a new meteorologist.

But there was no introduction and no cross-talk.

The reason for that was Met Tiffany Savona was not in the studio; in fact, she wasn’t even in the state.

Savona is based out of Florida and works for the Weather Channel website, run by The Weather Company.

Thankfully, the station was still able to get the Morgan & Morgan branding in.

This continues to show that the future of local TV news has little to do with being local.
