Gone in May

On Friday, FTVLive told you about the cuts that went down at CBS News.

CBS News Chief Bari Weiss oversaw cuts of around 6% of the workforce.

CBS News Radio was annihilated, with the entire operation sent to the scrap heap.

The service provided news programming to some 700 affiliated stations across the country, and goes back nearly 100 years. Edward R. Murrow delivered his World War II dispatches on the service. World News Roundup is the longest-running news broadcast in America.

The last day of operation is pegged for May 22nd.
