Returning Back to the Buiness
/Staci Spanos is returning to WJXT in Jacksonville as an evening anchor and investigative reporter starting April 13. Her return to the Graham Media station marks the end of an eight-year hiatus from the broadcast industry, during which she worked in the real estate sector.
After spending over 30 years as a journalist—including more than a decade as the lead anchor for The Morning Show—Spanos left television to become a residential real estate agent. During her time with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty, she focused on high-end property transactions.
Prior to her career change, Spanos was a long-time fixture at WJXT, where she anchored, wrote, and edited daily content. Her previous body of work includes an Edward R. Murrow Award for a documentary on the Gainesville student murders and various recognitions from the Associated Press. A University of Florida graduate, she also maintains a role on the advisory board for the University of North Florida’s student media outlet.
In her new role, Spanos will join the station's "I-Team" and contribute to evening newscasts.
