Graham Anchor Fired After Arrest
/Graham Media Group has terminated the employment of KSAT (San Antonio) meteorologist Elliot Wilson following his arrest Thursday evening on charges of domestic violence. The swift dismissal from the San Antonio powerhouse highlights the zero-tolerance policy often maintained by major station groups when on-air talent faces serious criminal allegations.
The incident began to unfold when Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a local residence. According to investigators, a woman reported that she had been assaulted by Wilson earlier that day while he was driving her to a medical appointment. The sheriff’s office stated that an argument escalated while the pair were driving to the appointment, at which point Wilson allegedly struck the woman.
The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where medical staff confirmed she had suffered a broken nose. Following the report, Wilson was taken into custody and charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
For Graham Media and the KSAT newsroom, the arrest led the company to fire Wilson.
While the case remains under active investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Wilson’s career at the station has officially concluded. Neither Wilson nor Graham Media leadership has issued a formal statement regarding the specific details of his departure beyond the confirmation of his termination.
KSAT did report the story on their website.
