Anchor Gets to Stay Out of Prison Until June

The old saying goes, don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

Well, unless you’re a former Phoenix TV Anchor.

Former KNXV Anchor Stephanie Hockridge was convicted of wire fraud back in June of 2025 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

But, Hockridge is not behind bars because a judge has granted multiple extensions. She now is supposed to report to prison in June, which is a full year after being convicted.

Her attorney has also asked for Hockridge to have a staggered sentence from her husband, Nathan Reis, who pleaded guilty in the case. He was also sentenced to 10 years and is currently behind bars.

Why Hockridge isn’t behind bars is anyone’s guess.

I guess the criminal justice system is different if you’re a good looking former TV news Anchor.

I must wonder, if Stephanie Hockridge was never on TV news and was a Blck female, do you think she would still be free?

Just asking…
