Don't Let the Facts Get in the Way
/Fox News host Harris Faulkner mistakenly claimed Super Bowl halftime headliner Bad Bunny is not American during a Friday broadcast, before quickly issuing an on-air correction.
While discussing the artist's recent Grammy speech criticizing federal immigration agents—in which he stated, "We are humans, and we are Americans"—Faulkner responded, "That’s the point. He is not actually, but okay."
However, Bad Bunny was born in Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory where residents are U.S. citizens by birth.
Faulkner rectified the error moments later in the segment. "My mistake, and I want to correct that immediately," she told viewers. "The people he is talking about are not Americans. Bad Bunny is. I apologize."
