This is The Future...
/For decades, when the Buffalo Bills played a game on TV, many fans turned down the volume on the TV (especially if Tony Romo was on the broadcast team) and up on the radio.
The Bills game was broadcast on WBEN radio for years, before switching over to WGR in 2012.
Well, there is another big change happening.
The Buffalo Bills announced that they are taking the games off the radio and putting them on the Bills App and on the team’s website.
This means the Bills will have full control, and they will be able to keep 100% of the ads sold for the broadcast.
It is just another sign as streaming becomes the future. You can expect more teams to do this, and you will also see it with television as well.
The times have changed, and sports teams and many other companies can take their message straight to the consumer, own all ad sales, and completely control the message.
