Longtime Nexstar Anchor Calling it Quits

KTAB (Abilene, Texas) Chief Meteorologist Sam Nichols announced he is leaving the station after more than two decades.

In an on-air announcement, Nichols said that he isn’t leaving in two weeks. In fact he’s not even leaving next month. He said that he is staying around till the end of April.

So, why announce it now?

It’s February sweeps, silly.
