Another Scripps Talent Out the Door

At one point, WKBW in Buffalo had the highest-rated newscast in the country.

Now, the station, owned by Scripps, is in last place in the market.

As Scripps continues to cut to the bone, it is likely to be gobbled up by Sinclair or someone else. More talent is getting out.

Consumer Reporter Michael Schwartz is leaving the Scripps station after 4 years. Of course, as is the norm now, he did not say where he is headed, as that is for another post (Thirst trap).

He wrote, “In my 4 years here, I covered the highest of highs & the darkest days this city has ever seen.” As a person that grew up in Buffalo, this part of the post is not accurate. I just feel the need to point that out.

This was his goodbye post.
