Fredo is Thinking About Leaving TV News

You might be a bit surprised to learn that former CNN host Chris Cuomo is still on cable news.

Don’t worry if you didn’t know that, because Cuomo now works for the struggling News Nation, which is owned by Nexstar and is not watched by many.

Now, Fredo says that he is thinking about quitting. In an appearance on a podcast with Frank Luntz, Cuomo said, “I’m telling you, I would never, ever, ever, ever consider running for office. But in fact, I’ll tell you what I’m considering: getting the fuck out, Frank. Because Mike Tyson has turned out to be a prophet, which is already a perversity. But when Mike Tyson said, ‘Social media has made people forget that some things that you say will get you punched in the face.’ And my desire to punch people in the face is consuming me. Frank, I can’t handle this. I can’t handle the stupidity. I can’t handle what wins. And I can’t handle what gets paid. I can’t handle what succeeds. I can’t handle it!”

Unfortunately, Cuomo’s ego is gigantic, and I’m not sure that he can walk away.

But, we can all hold out hope, can’t we?
