Sinclair Station Continues with Attack Ad

Harrisburg-area TV stations are pulling a campaign ad for Republican Congressman Scott Perry due to unproven claims against his Democratic opponent and former news Anchor Janelle Stelson.

The ad says Stelson, a former WGAL news anchor challenging the seven-term Congressman for a second time, “exposed herself to a child with special needs.”

The same ad accuses Stelson of “hiring illegals” based on a debunked claim that she hired an undocumented immigrant who was arrested for indecent exposure last month.

WHTM, WPMT and WGAL said they are pulling the ads sponsored by the Trump-aligned No Going Back PAC, according to reporting by Politico and others, which is affiliated with the President Donald Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. super PAC. A MAGA Inc. spokesperson shared letters with Politico from the super PAC’s attorney to local station managers saying the “ad is true and must remain in rotation.”

Market insiders say the one station which did not pull the ad is Sinclair’s WHP. You have to wonder, if this ad was aimed at a Republican, do you think the Sinclair station would have pulled it?
