Get Ready for Layoffs

The Paramount–Warner merger is complete and the newly combined company, Skydance, has combined the company into one.

That means that CBS and CNN are now owned by the same company.

It also means that layoffs are coming.

In a memo to the staff, they were told, “Integrating two companies will bring change, including difficult decisions that affect our workforce. We are committed to handling this process thoughtfully and respectfully.”

Yeah, I don’t buy that last part either.
