Aaron Gilchrist spent over 10 years anchoring the news at WRC in Washington, DC, before moving up to the network.
In 2021, Gilchrist moved from the NBC O&O to NBC the network. He started as an anchor for NBC NOW, spent sometime at the White House, and then became a national Correspondent for NBC News.
Now, it appears that he is headed back to local news, and back to WRC.
He is likely filling the hole left by longtime WRC Anchor Jim Handly, who announced his retirement.
