Tegna's Boss Comes to Town...

Insiders at Tegna’s WBIR (Knoxville) tell FTVLive that Tegna CEO Patrick Paolini stopped by the station to meet with the troops.

One source says that Paolini was asked when and if the Cuez Automation system is coming to the station. Cuez has been used by media companies to automate newscasts and, of course, put people out of work.

The source says that Paolini said that Cuez was on track to be at WBIR at the end of the first quarter, early next year.

“Later in the day, he held a meeting saying he missed spoke, which was very odd to me. I think he is trying to stop people from jumping ship,” said the insider to FTVLive.

I don’t know the answer, but if I were at WBIR, I would be updating my resume as we speak.
