The Balanced News that Never Was

A journalist emailed FTVLive with a take on what is happening at CBS News and other outlets.

We thought we would share.

One day, far in the future, someone will have to do a post-mortem on national news entities like CBS and NewsNation and how they talked a good game once, but failed to deliver on a promise of a new kind of ‘Journalism’ in America.
This “News for All Americans” as NewsNation uses as its slogan is exactly what CBS is also copying in its new mission led by Bari Weiss and Tony Dokoupil.  It sounds good…but in the end, it means nothing but delivering right-leaning information and opinion without using the basic tenets of real Journalism.
It’s simply just another way to say
“Fair and Balanced” that Fox News started with those many years ago….which just means when you pull back the curtain, the Wizard is saying:
‘The whole mainstream media news world is Left and as an entire new news organization, we’re the counterbalance of Right.’ 
That’s exactly what CBS is doing again, also…and what NewsNation has already done.
They say they will talk to real people instead of experts to get both sides of the story….they don’t.
They say they will have unbiased hosts and correspondents and reports to really look at both sides of an issue….they don’t.
They pretend they will…and they pretend to hide their bias behind fancy slogans and mission statements….but they don’t….and they can’t.
Don’t be fooled by the man behind the curtain.
