For those that still think television is king and streaming is an afterthought, this one is going to sting just a bit.

When Jimmy Kimmel returned after his suspension, preemption, or whatever you want to call it, his return show pulled in over 6 million viewers. That is a lot, no question, but if you look at YouTube, his return has been viewed over 20 million times.

TV stations and media companies had years to gear up for streaming and they really could have been at the forefront. FTVLive has been preaching streaming for over 2 decades.

Now, media groups are finally looking at offering up real streaming products, despite the fact that their approach is still off base.

Nexstar can buy up every station in the country, but if they can’t figure out streaming, they are in a dying business.
