Kimmel Returns Tonight (Updated)
/Disney CEO Bob Iger is very busy trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
Disney’s ABC announced that Jimmy Kimmel is returning after Iger and the Disney suits caved to Trump and the FCC, pulling Kimmel off the air.
ABC released this statement, "Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.
"It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.
"We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday."
It was a spineless move by ABC and it was set off after the FCC Chair encouraged ABC affiliates to take Kimmel off the air as a message to ABC.
Both Nexstar and Sinclair took their orders from the FCC, like a scared puppy.
At the time of writing this story, there is no word as to what Nexstar and Sinclair have planned with Kimmel’s return tonight. But, if I was a betting man, I would guess they will still preempt Kimmel in an effort to keep Trump happy.
We’ll have to see what happens.
UPDATE: Sinclair will continue bow down to Trump and stomp on the First Amendment.
