Stations Take Precautions After Sacramento Shooting

FTVLive told you on Friday about the drive-by shooting that took place at Tegna’s KXTV in Sacramento.

Shots were fired into the station’s building. A man was arrested in the shooting.

Internal memos when out at many of the Tegna-owned stations urging the staff to stay safe.

At WUSA in DC, the staff was told to not use Mic-flags and that a marked news car would be kept in house and not sent to the NFL’s Washington Commanders game.

The staff was also told, that if they didn’t feel safe, they should reach out to a manager.

My advice, if you don’t feel safe, get the hell out of there and only then reach out to a manager. Not the other way around.
