/Here is what some of you had to say about ABC bending a knee to the Trump administration and pulling Jimmy Kimmel off the air.

Scott,
Thank you for your cogent analysis of the Jimmy Kimmel action taken by ABC. I remember in 2018 when you reported on the Sinclair Broadcast Group requiring anchors in each of their local stations to read the same script. Well, Wednesday night the anchors at WABC in New York and WPVI in Philadelphia read the exact same statement using the same graphic about Kimmel…obviously written by the Disney-ABC legal department. This was most likely the case at KABC, WLS and the other ABC O & O stations as well. Real journalism might have assigned a reporter to ask members of the public their opinions on this hot button issue or interview a local first amendment expert about the implications of the decision. Instead the viewers in multiple markets got the same sanitized statement with no context. ABC has in essence lowered itself to Sinclair’s level.

Every other TV network news website has it front and center with in depth reporting on the outrage and ramifications for free speech.
ABC News has it buried way below the fold of their website with a meager five sentences. Yes, sentences; not paragraphs.
They’ve lost all credibility with me.

I know Disney/ABC doesn’t care, but I will never watch the network again and you will never see me in a Disney park ever again.
It means nothing to ABC, but it means a hell of a lot to me.
Mickey Mouse is dead to me.
