News Nation Blasts the Left
/After the murder of Charlie Kirk, it took no time for Nexstar’s News Nation’s latest hire to put the blame on the left.
Batya Ungar-Sargon spoke to Elizebeth Vargas, who seemed willing to let her spout off, saying that all the violence is coming from the left now.
Obviously, this comment is not true as the violence is coming from both sides, while some would argue that cable news is helping fuel these people’s anger. The person arrested for Kirk’s killing was registered as nonpartisan and both parents were registered as Republicans.
We need to stop trying to blame the other side and stop fueling the hate against each other.
In response to Ungar-Sargon, the Speaker of the Minnesota Legislature, a Democrat, was killed at home, with her family, by a man with a long list of Democrats he planned to kill. The attempted killing of Gov. Shapiro (D) and his family, and the attempted kidnapping of Governor Whitmore (D). The violence is coming from everywhere and that is the problem. Not blaming just one side.
All of cable news needs to stop using moments for political advantage. Political violence goes both ways, and it's wrong, in either direction.
The fact that Nexstar is letting the hate and blame being spewed on their channel, tells you everything you need to know.
Democrats keep saying we need to down the temperature. I'm all for that—but they have to tell the truth first: The vast majority of the political violence in America is coming from the Left. You can't unify with people who endlessly lie to avoid taking responsibility for violence pic.twitter.com/EkFg1efkyG
