Tegna Names Another New News Director

Tim Geraghty has been named the new News Director for KSDK 5 On Your Side, the Tegna-owned NBC affiliate in St. Louis. He is scheduled to start on Monday, September 29, 2025.

Geraghty comes to KSDK from Cincinnati, where he led the news department at WKRC (Local 12), a CBS affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcasting. At WKRC, he managed a staff of nearly 90 people responsible for producing 56 hours of news content weekly.

His appointment, however, comes as KSDK's parent company, Tegna Inc., is in the stages of a planned acquisition by Nexstar Media Group. Corporate acquisitions in the broadcast industry are often followed by management changes at the local station level, which could potentially impact the long-term tenure of newly appointed executives like Geraghty.
