New News Bosses Named at Struggling Indy Station
/It’s sort of like taking over the Titanic after it struck the iceberg.
WISH-TV (Indianapolis) has promoted Erika Facey to the position of News Director. The move comes after the departure of former News Director Al Carl, a development first reported by FTVLive.
FTVLive has also reported that the station has been undergoing significant staff cuts recently.
Facey joined the DuJuan McCoy-owned Circle City Broadcasting six years ago, initially serving as the Content Manager for the company's CW affiliate in Indianapolis. In 2023, she was promoted to News Brand Manager and became Assistant News Director earlier this year.
"I’m looking forward to this next chapter of my career and the responsibility that comes along with it," Facey stated. "I am also very happy to have this chapter at a legacy news TV station like WISH-TV."
In a related move, WISH-TV has named Adam Krent as the new Assistant News Director. Krent was previously the Executive Producer for the station's evening newscasts and served as the principal instructor for WISH-TV’s Media Producing Program.
