This Tegna Station Gets It...
/Tegna owned WGRZ (Buffalo) had a News Director opening to fill. The problem is, who wants to take a job that likely will not be there when Nexstar takes control.
Judy Moore had been interim News Director at the station, ever since Jeremy Settle left for a job in the Florida.
Now, WGRZ has wisely named Moore the station’s News Director. That move makes sense as she was already doing the job and the future is murky at best.
“Over a decadeslong career Judy has performed at a high level at every position she has held. She comes from a foundation that reflects our brand and values. In fact, it is in the DNA. Her father worked here for over 30 years. We were all very impressed with how she has stepped up as our interim news director and continued to head the department seamlessly,” said WGRZ General Manager Mark Manders in a memo to the staff.
