Let me preface this by saying that while I didn't witness it firsthand, the reports of what aired are deeply concerning.

Consider the current state of the world for a moment. We are grappling with the ever-expanding Epstein saga, a grinding war in Ukraine, a volatile conflict in the Middle East, the lingering specter of U.S. troops being turned on American citizens, the deployment of the National Guard into our cities, and pressing questions surrounding the health of the President.

These are just a handful of the monumental stories that demand—and should receive—thorough coverage from a responsible press.

And yet, on this past Tuesday's broadcast of the NBC Nightly News, what was the second story presented to the nation? Taylor Swift's engagement.

If you are looking for definitive proof that the national media is profoundly letting down the American people with its skewed priorities, I offer this up as Exhibit A.
