/Speaking of the new restrictions in the WISH contract, the station is adding a new Anchor.
Derricke Dennis is the new anchor at WISH in Indianapolis. He is set to begin his role on September 8.
Dennis comes to WISH from ABC News in New York, where he was a correspondent and anchor for the past five years. His career includes extensive experience anchoring and reporting for other major New York outlets like Fox News Headlines 24/7, WCBS-TV, and News 12. He has also worked in several other markets, including at WRIC in Richmond, WXMI in Grand Rapids, and WDIV in Detroit.
The move follows a freelance anchoring stint Dennis had with WISH in July. According to WISH-TV News Director Al Carl, Dennis's veteran status will enhance the news team.
