Suing the Station for Sexual Harassment

Former KSTP-TV meteorologist Wren Clair, whose legal name is Renee Fox, has filed a lawsuit against the station alleging sexual harassment and retaliatory termination. Clair, who worked at KSTP from 2018 until February 2025, claims she was fired after reporting misconduct.

The lawsuit alleges that a former news director, Kirk Varner, made offensive comments about her body, attire, and hair color, and that she received less favorable assignments compared to her male colleagues. It also states that former chief meteorologist Dave Dahl made comments about her "slim" appearance, which she reported.

In its legal response, KSTP denies the allegations of harassment and retaliation. The station states that Clair was terminated for "poor performance, on which she was repeatedly coached." KSTP characterized the discussions about her on-air appearance as standard professional feedback.

The lawsuit is filed against KSTP-TV and not against any individuals. Clair began working as a meteorologist for KARE-TV in May 2025.
