Anti-Government Militia Targets TV Station's Weather Radar

FTVLive told you how some idiot climbed a fence and disabled the weather radar for KWTV in Oklahoma City.

The bad actor has been arrested.

But, the station now reports, there could be more acts like this one.

An organization describing itself as an “anti-government militia,” known as ‘Veterans on Patrol,’ informed KWTV on Tuesday that it is “targeting” Oklahoma weather radars. This statement came just days after an individual vandalized KWTV’s own weather radar.

The group, which the Southern Poverty Law Center has identified as an “anti-government militia,” shared with KWTV their belief that weather radars are used to control the weather.

In an interview, KWTV asked Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer, the founder of Veterans On Patrol, "Is it true that Veterans On Patrol is targeting Oklahoma Weather Radars?"

"Absolutely," Meyer responded.

KWTV confirmed that a sign was posted near an Oklahoma weather radar, warning that Doppler radars are being targeted. Meyer acknowledged that he posted the sign, asserting his belief that the government is engaged in weather modification.

"They can embed their technology and civilian infrastructure in every home and every household utilizing the phones and their network towers to not only control the weather, modify the weather, but they can [target] individuals,” Meyer stated.

KWTV’s Chief Meteorologist David Payne refuted these claims, explaining that weather radars do not have such capabilities.

“We have one of the most powerful live radars in Oklahoma, and one of the most powerful live radars in the country, but we cannot do any weather modification at all,” he explained.

Payne emphasized the danger of such vandalism. When a radar is sabotaged, “We cannot track severe weather. We cannot track tornadoes, and it basically becomes instantly obsolete," he said.

Meyer also contended that the U.S. Military is involved in weather modification. "When the military plays God with the weather, they're mocking our Heavenly Father by calling one of his most favorite instruments a 'weather weapon.'"

Payne expressed that he wishes weather control were possible. “I wish we could turn it on and say, 'oh, let's make that tornado go away,' but our weather radar and all of the weather radars in the U.S. are built strictly to inform and warn the public, and to keep the public safe -- and that's exactly why we have our live radar."

When asked directly, “Is Veterans On Patrol responsible for KWTV’s weather radar going down?” Meyer gave an evasive answer: “Veterans On Patrol is responsible for a lot more than that.”
