False Hope

The news spread quickly over the weekend that two missing girls were found alive in the Texas flood zone.

The news was out on social media and it wasn’t long before Sinclair’s WOAI also reported the news. WOAI took the information from the Kerr County Lead.

The sad part?

It wasn’t true.

The news gave many false hope and understandably the false story had many residents angry with the news outlets that had reported it as fact.

It was once again the flaw of trying to be first and not correct.
